The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Assessment is a standardised English language test that evaluates a student’s ability to use English at theĀ level of post-secondary school as it tests reading, listening, writing and speaking skills commonly used in an academic domain. This feature differentiates CAELĀ from other language proficiency tests like International English Language Test System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), which test global language proficiency.

Register (as a new user) or Login (As an existing user) with your credentials
Fill in the required details further and login to apply for test
Fill in the details regarding your profession, country, test date, venue and finally proceed with payment to book the test
CAEL is officially accepted by professional organizations, colleges, universities in Canada, and employers as proof of English language proficiency.
Each component of the test is given a CAEL score and an overall band score. There is no pass or fail on the test. It is recommended that you contact the institution to which you are applying to see what their English language requirements are.
