The Occupational English Test (OET) is an English language test for healthcare professionals that has been approved by a number of regulatory authorities.
It evaluates healthcare workers’ language communication skills in order to register and practise in an English-speaking workplace.
The Reading sub-test is divided into three sections with a
total of 42 questions. It takes 60 minutes to complete all
three segments. Because the topics are of general
healthcare interest, people from all professions can apply.
The Reading sub-test structure :
Part A – expeditious reading task (15 minutes)
Part B and Part C – careful reading tasks (45 minutes)
Individually, the candidate takes part in two role-plays in the Speaking sub-test. In each role-play, the candidate plays a patient, a client, or a patient's relative or carer, while the interlocutor plays a patient, a client, or a patient's relative or carer. In veterinary science, the interlocutor is the animal's owner or caregiver.
The assignment is to compose a letter, generally a reference letter. In some cases, particularly for certain callings, an alternate kind of letter is required: for example a letter of move or release, or on the other hand a letter to prompt or illuminate a patient, carer, or bunch.
Applicants are expected to exhibit that they can follow and comprehend a scope of wellbeing related spoken materials, for example, patient interviews and talks. It comprises
of 3 parts.
Part A - consultation extracts (about 5 minutes each)
Part B – short workplace extracts (about 1 minute each)
Part C – presentation extracts (about 5 minutes each)

Register (as a new user) or Login (As an existing user) with your credentials
Fill in the required details further and login to apply for test
Fill in the details regarding your profession, country, test date, venue and finally proceed with payment to book the test
OET is perceived by administrative medical services sheets and gatherings in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA,Ireland, Dubai, Singapore, Namibia and Ukraine. Numerous associations, including clinics, colleges and schools, are involving OET as evidence of an up-and-comer’s capacity to impart successfully in a requesting medical care climate. For every one of the four sub-tests that make up OET, applicants get a mathematical score from 0-500 out of 10-point increases for example 350,360, 370. The numeric score is planned to a different letter grade, going from A (most elevated) to E (least). There is no general grade for OET.
