The TOEFL Reading Section is designed to assess your ability to read and understand the types of materials used in an academic environment. It contains 3 or 4 reading passages of about 700 words each and 10 questions per passage. The time to answer all the questions in this section is 54-72 minutes.
The TOEFL Speaking section is designed to measure your ability to understand conversations and presentations in English.
There are two types of listening items in the speaking section: lectures and conversations.

The TOEFL Speaking Section is designed to effectively measure your ability to speak English in an academic environment. It consists of four tasks that resemble real-world situations that you may encounter inside and outside the classroom.
Question 1 is called an "independent speaking task".
Questions 2-4 are called "integrated speaking tasks". Each answer is given 15-30 seconds of preparation, and the length of the answer can be 45 or 60 seconds.

If the TOEFL iBT score exceeds 82 or 83 out of 120, it can be considered above average. Scores below 81 are below the average score. Therefore, 82 is the complete TOEFL average. The grade averages for the four sections are rounded to 20 or 21, respectively.
